Our Story
A brand born from the land.
Fazenda 1888 was created with one clear ambition: to take the beauty, depth and heritage of Brazilian coffee to customers around the world.
The Beginning
Fazenda — Portuguese for a farm, an estate, a plantation — is a word thick with history. 1888 is the year Brazil abolished slavery, a turning point in the country's story and in the story of the coffee that shaped it. Our name is a tribute to that heritage, not a claim to it. Fazenda 1888 is a modern coffee company, inspired by an old coffee world.
Why Brazil
Brazil is the world's largest coffee producer, and one of its most varied. From the volcanic soils of Cerrado Mineiro to the sea-facing hills of Espírito Santo, altitude and climate shape a spectrum of flavour — nutty, chocolatey, floral, bright. We start here because no country rewards attention to origin like Brazil does.
Our Philosophy
- Respect the origin.
- Reward quality.
- Build long-term farm relationships.
- Roast with care.
- Deliver consistent flavour.
- Make exceptional coffee accessible.
The Global Vision
Brazil is our first chapter. In time, Fazenda 1888 will present selected coffees from other important growing regions — chosen with the same standard, told with the same care. A world of coffee, offered one origin at a time.
